The consumer friendly approach is that listed price includes all fees. I don't care whether the product or service I'm buying costs $1 + $19 in mandatory fees, or $19 + $1 in mandatory fees. I care only that I end up paying $20 and any advertisement where $20 is not the most prominently displayed number is an attempt at deceit.

Given that these models were initially trained on the collective textual/visual/whatever output of the internet connected part of the human race one could argue that the input data wasn't exactly stellar to begin with. Still, that hasn't stopped our species from finding real world uses for what might best be described as "Artificial Mediocrity"
