    I bet you're feeling good right now. Our town (Cedar Rapids, Iowa ... though admittedly with a few more than 10,000) really had a blast when home boy Kurt Warner won the Super Bowl. It's an interesting phenomena how a whole community will take pride in the accomplishments of one resident, or even former resident in our case.     My immediate thought was "Larry who?". But then something stirred a memory from my dim and distant past. Wasn't he one of the commentators on American Gladiators? It used to be on UK TV in the early hours of Saturday morning when I was at University.

    • Yeah, he was on American Gladiators. But he was also a US football player at Miami who won some championships. So unless you watch the NFL its a completely pointless celebrity ;p

        Actually, I used to watch it many years ago, when William Perry ("The Refridgerator") was playing for the Bears who were pretty dominant. But then they stopped showing it on UK terrestrial television, and I don't have satellite or cable...

          Hit the rewind button a little longer. I was a great fan of Payton, Perry, and Company (circa 1985), but Czonk played a little earlier. In fact, he was a member of the only undefeated team in the entire Super Bowl era of NFL history ... the 1972 Miami Dolphins.

          And yes, I *remember* that team. Barely, of course...
