Let's break down your response.....
1) Cars require oil. You feel it was 'humiliating' to have to maintain your vehicle. You also drove a piece of shit ford. I dont need to know the make, model, or year, because its a piece of shit ford no matter what, unless you were driving something vintage, in which case, you wouldnt be calling an oil change you can do in a half hour in your driveway a 'humiliation ritual'
2) You say it's humiliating to fill up your tank, like you were making a special trip just to get some dino juice, when in reality, you most likely just hit the station on the way to or from an existing destination or waypoint in your travels. But furthermore, your main grip is that you can make your own dino juice. Which is silly, because you dont manufacture your own solar panels or generate your own electricity.
3)You end with a pointed question "Why would anyone expect the EV infrastructure to just appear overnight?" And the answer to that is nobody does, except for people like you and some politicians. If you think its going to take decades to built appropriate EV infrastructure and you bought an EV arent you the one to blame? You bought the thing knowing the infrastructure doesnt exist. Maybe also, if you think its going to take so long for EV infrastructure to be built out, we ought to consider extending the deadline for the Biden EV mandate. Or do you think 8 years is enough to build out the infrastructure to deal with 8+ million EV's hitting the road in the next 8 years?
