Bought a Galaxy S8 3 years ago. Gave my S6 to my daughter. Both phones are working great. My wife's S7 is waiting to be used as a back-up. Samsung builds great phones, but see no need to buy new phones. Only thing the new phones provide is a larger screen and higher resolution cameras. They aren't worth the money. My wife now has an Note 9. She lost the pen, but never did take notes.Now we have the carriers pushing 5G phones, but unless you live in a very large city, there's no place to take advantage of 5G, and there won't be for 7 years. Real 5G capability requires lots of cell sites and fiber linking between the sites. Many medium and small cities are fighting the deployment of the cell sites required to make 5G available. Question - Do we really need 5G?

Pure BALONEY.... The principal objective of standardized education is that all students between 1st grade to 12th grade receive the basics of Math, English, History, Civics, and physical education. Homework is an educational method of re-enforcing the information which teachers presented in class. Just as in the entire human race, some students have a better ability to use their brains than others, some have better physical powers. It's not a matter of race, or societal differences. Between 1st & 6th grades all students are provided with the same basic levels of instruction. As the students move on, teachers begin to notice, that some are better at Math than others, some have a greater language skills, others are better at athletics. That's why, in the higher grades, students are separated into ability groups. Not everyone can be an engineer, or a molecular scientist, or an archeologist, or a rocket scientist, or a teacher. Low achievers must be provided with an education that allows them to live a good life. However, they shouldn't be put aside because they aren't given homework. What's wrong with giving them a challenge? Parents are responsible for providing their children with a good family and social life. They are not responsible for doing homework. Teachers are responsible. Not all students can do the same level of homework. Teachers need to stop being lazy. Our education system should stop relying on "experts" who make exhoribtant lecture and book fees. Give the money directly to the teachers. Stop forcing them to fill out forms which help to prove the bullshit put out by the "experts".

The FCC should move to restrict social media corporations. These companies were granted certain protections because it was agreed that they need to be allowed to establish a new industry. There was concern that these small companies could be sued into bankruptcy because they allowed users to tell falsehoods, or crooks to use the media to steal from the unsuspecting. I'm surprised that the executive officers and boards of directors have not been arrested under civil rights laws for preventing access to first amendment rights of the users of these social media facilities. These private companies have no legal basis for restricting information. They are clearly interfering with our elections.

I think that Comcast should get their 1Gb speed up and running. I have their latest gateway modem and am lucky to get 500Mb download. Also, they need to increase streaming capacity.

Using multiple browsers when surfing the web won't keep your browsing private. Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc. track your activity by I.P. & Device MAC address. Your browser uses this to identify who you are. Ever notice that Amazon does not ask you to log in?

Pre-installed apps can not be removed. At best you can deactivate, but with every update, they come back. I've got at least 5 phone books created by these apps, and can't get to a single phone book and calendar.

I use Firefox because it does not try to take over my computer and direct me to stuff I never use. Hate the new MS Edge. Every time I get a Win10 update, I need to re-do my program settings. If I really wanted Edge to open my PDF files, I would not pay for Adobe.

Most severance agreements are signed under duress. Being terminated can be very stressful, and the future looks bleak. You don't know when you will receive your next paycheck, and must start a job search. Most states have laws which prevent signing contracts under duress. And accepting a termination (severance) package may meet those standards. One should not be afraid to tell the truth. Just be careful not to say anything "nasty" about the company or its executives. Simply state that you were replaced by a low salaried individual with an H1B visa - if you know that this is true.
