Journal shankar2k's Journal: A contest for your Non-Indians 6

My brother and his wife have finally gotten around to naming my nephew. His name is Yashvardhan Vasudev Rao. I heartily approve of the name. "Yash" means glory and victory, and "Vardhan" means 'the great', so together his name is 'the great victory'. My brother's full first name is Vishnuvardhan, and so they managed to honor him without just naming him "vish jr." or some crap like that. I would have killed them if they did that. The middle name is the name of Yash's great-grandfather (his father's father's father), so that delighted my relatives in India.

So here's the contest. Send me an audio clip of you trying to pronounce my nephew's first name. I will take whoever has the most correct pronunciation out to dinner or something (within the budget of a poor grad student). I suppose you could just call me with your contest entry. Either way really.

In English, every word can be verbed. Would that it were so in our programming languages.
