Neo will probably do well in a lineup next to black or gray creaking plastic PCs wth windows and 4G ram, what manufacturers and B&M stores are pushing now. If Microsoft hadnt made 4G ram required for W11, manufacturers would be selling 2G laptops right now.

First, warren probably doesn't have much cash. He owns stuff, that on paper is worth money.

It would be really interesting if a real economist tried to model what would happen if someone rich like buffet or musk converted everything they own into cash, and then randomly gave it away to people.

The AI ecosystem is a mess, but Nvidia and Apple are probably the two best supported hardware platforms.

Sure, Mediatek, Qualcomm, Rockchip, Intel, AMD, Bob and Robs chips chips and fish, and every little CPU and SoC vendor do shoehorn NPUs into their products, but nothing supports them, the vendors might port a version of torch or something else if you're lucky, but by the time they're done the hardware is outdated and the software they ported is outdated.

Apple hardware seems to be very close to Nvidia in terms of actually being able to run the frameworks, software and models that people are tinkering and building with.

And, shock surprise, for once Apple isn't even the most expensive hardware.

That was my thoughts too, all the issues relate to wireless. There are wireless and Bluetooth chips that are so bad no amount of software makes them properly interoperate with other devices.

My fix would've been to add a dummy key card or similar somewhere in the car and reboot/power cycle the computer whenever the wireless goes bananas and loses contact with the dummy. (It's what I do on my RPI5).

I believe EU has a system in place that (optionally) lets the seller automatically collect the Vat and tariffs on the destination country's behalf, the package will then just sail right through customs.
