Hi, you can use RFID tags to open your front door by adding some extra kit to the door. It's not very expensive and her ring could do it as well. I'd guess the drawback could if someone figured it out and stole the ring.

Hi, I suggest you go for the complete Novell Teaming package, its has exactly all the feature you request. IFolder lets you share documents across mac, linux and windows. Its very much like dropbox. And Teaming lets you collaborate with collegues and people on the outside (like alfresco and sharepoint but better for collaboration). And its opensource. Se this demo: http://www.novell.com/products/teaming/demo.html http://www.kablink.org/ The software is availeble on VMWARE images so you can have a demo running in no time!

I would not only buy the media, but the computer as well. If you buy a cheap netbook, then you're sure she will have something to view the media on. And if it has SSD disk it will work in 16 years+. Have all the relatives store the stuff on usb disk and then pack it all air sealed.

Comment Project Documentation (Score 1) 370

There is one step in the process which superseeds any method in documenting. The first piece of paper that describes the project, this paper is the key to documenting.

This paper should explain the essentials, like purposes, goals and methods. From then on you simply have to add changes to this paper. Non of your programmers or project managers will end up with the tedious task at the of the project. This is really simple and easy to implement as well.

And make sure its consize, no need for an essay. Think of what would be nice to know in 3 years.
