This is the opposite of the truth! We want to charge during Off Peak time so that we can flatten out the peak off peak graph. That is how we move away from peaker plants such as coal and natural gas. We can only Nuclear up to the off peak demand because anything over the off peak demand is wasted energy. That is why we use peaker plants currently. We need to increase off peak demand so that we can build more nuclear and reduce our coal and gas emissions! I wonder if this study was conducted by the coal industry!

I call BS... They need to explain WHY the reaction from the smaller reactor would be different than the reaction from the larger reactor. It is the exact same reaction and same materials. The difference is the scale. We have been using small nuclear reactors to power military naval vessels for half a century, we know how to do this. The reason small nuclear reactors are superior is that you get an ROI closer to 5 years and you get the efficiencies of scale when building these in an assembly line rather than on site. This is the future. Take us off of carbon and generate an abundance of cheap electricity. That's how we power the industrial base of the future. That's how we desalinate water for the west. That's how we move forward rather than fighting the same battles over and over.

I will throw my hat in this fight. I have an M1Max and it is already on par with my 3090 for machine learning. It is as good for a single model +- 10% however it really shins when training several models at once. That is something the 3090 just cant do because of the way the video memory gets utilized in tensorflow for cuda. You have to remember too, that it's not JUST the performance of the graphics processing, but the entire systems just SLAMS data through at break neck speed due to the tight integration of disk, memory and GPU. For what it's worth.

I believe apple could simply apply machine learning to detect nudity in the camera api and automatically blur images. It seems to me that this would create a better pathway against apple devices being used for things apple disagrees with rather than viewing the data on devices after the fact. When I hear ____New Technology___ being used to stop ___ Really bad thing___ All I think is, okay so this is the obvious beginning where we all agree that the really bad thing must be stopped without the followup thought of a less invasive way to stop it. I think about how the TSA protects us from 911... when a simple lock on the cockpit door would have the power to prevent plains being used as missiles without costing 10b each year, or adding 1hour to every flight. It seems to me like evil people who abuse children probably dont use iPhones and iCloud to begin with. The most likely people to get caught up by a new feature like this are young college students who have old photos from highschool on their iPhones. I believe we can all say we want a fair and accurate election. I love that Twitter and FB said they are going to block election related content for a week before the election. That sorta makes sense. I'm DEEPLY concerned about the election results lingering on after November 3'rd. I WOULD MUCH rather the time to count ballots take place and November 4th be the deadline. Open-ended results over weeks and months will be very hard for people to trust. As for one nation wanting one candidate and other nations wanting another candidate... this happens ALWAYS... I'm pretty sure Merkel supports Biden, I'm pretty sure Netanyahu supports Trump, and round and round we go. I'm also pretty sure CNN supports Biden and FOX supports Trump, as I"m sure Google and Twitter support Biden and the Steel industry and Oil and Gas companies support Trump. Everywhere we look their are divides. As for hacking, this is a much bigger problem. We need to decriminalize hacking in the USA. Our Youth are at a disadvantage. You learn by doing, and too bad for you if you're company is too cheep to hire security experts. Hackers be hacking even if they are not in the USA, so you still need security experts, the issue is there will be fewer and fewer security experts if you don't allow US citizen children to practice when they are young. I good friend of mine got suspended for a year for doing a DOS attack on the schools website in 1998... now... come on... 1) who really gives a shit and 2) the stupid IT department should have hired that 16 year old rather than punishing him! We need to rethink our priorities with hacking lest we be left behind in the years to come.
