Comment Re:Replacement on "Fair Use" Videos (Score -1, Offtopic) 115

I post an informative comment that includes a personal reference.
Is the comment no longer informative? Past moderation says it is.

It still provides value to the discussion and I don't hide via an anonymous coward. Seems to be a lot like what Slashdot does by selling ads in the form of submissions.

Meanwhile those that find the video humorous get a good laugh. Those that don't can enjoy the comment.

Comment Replacement on "Fair Use" Videos (Score -1) 115

I wonder if youtube's Content ID system has a filter for fair use. I suppose technically they can go with, it's my site, I'll do what I want to.

However I have to say that it seems like a better option for the users than just removing their content.

I wonder where they would have time for advertising in this juggling video.

Comment Linux renaissance by Laid-off MS employees (Score 4, Interesting) 532

Making $4 Billion in one quarter isn't much a decline. Looks like layoffs were induced by greed, so that executives stocks options go up. It would be interesting to see if some of those 4000-5000 employees use linux as a platform for a technology startup.

On the bright side if I were laid-off I'd have plenty of time to juggle.

Comment Teleportation and aging issues. (Score 0) 436

Teleportation would be the next logical step to answer the moving through space issue.

However remember it involves more than moving through space. Things will last longer. According to Einstein's theory, say you were 15 years old when you left Earth in a spacecraft traveling at about 99.5% of the speed of light, and celebrated only five birthdays during your space voyage. When you get home at the age of 20, you would find that all your classmates were 65 years old, retired, and enjoying their grandchildren! Because time passed more slowly for you, you will have experienced only five years of life, while your classmates will have experienced a full 50 years.

If we get the teleportation thing down, I'll be able to add a lot more clips to my juggling video. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvp8m8CqIDc

And I always thought time-travel was throwing my alarm clock against the wall.

"Explore Mars now" has a great 3D mockup of all the Bunks, Galleys, wardrooms and other parts that would make up a Mars base. http://www.exploremarsnow.org/

I look forward to this moving to completion so I can juggle on Mars too. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvp8m8CqIDc

Chuck Norris was the first one to Mars, that's why there are no signs of life.
