Exactly! The info they were scraping had to be public anyway, unless they "friended" people which would give them some additional access, but still that info is pretty public to anyone that can view your profile. I'm not saying it's right that the scraping company did this in the first place (likely against ToS and ethically just not a good idea), but if your info isn't behind some sort of authentication & authorization, then treat it as if it's public. BTW you can still look up addresses and phone number (maybe not so much with cell phones) just by typing into Google :) But I think I get what you're saying.
