Hamas claims to agree to a "interim" Palestinian state along the 1967 borders but will still not recognize Israel. That is barely an improvement from all or nothing. Israel left Gaza and we saw what happened with Hamas was in charge.

What we saw was a military blockade, Israel controlling ever aspect of Palestinian's lives, their coming and going from Palestine, periodic "mowing the lawn," and the list goes on. For those who think Palestinians didn't try peaceful means, please look up "The Great March of Return." Israel never left Gaza. They turned it into an open air prison camp.

The reason for the blockade was the constant terrorism. I think the people of Gaza and the West Bank got what they asked for. When they sent their fellow people to blow up buses, stab innocent people and to use their vehicles to try to ram Israelis with the cars. When they celebrated every Israeli killed and called the murderers hero's and paid their family salaries based on how many people were killed. Yes check points were put up, the same thing happened at the U.S airports and other airports around the world due to 9/11. The people of Gaza, formerly held by Egypt before 1967, have a border with Egypt. Egypt keeps the border closed because they don't want the terrorist in their country either. But let's not forget all the glorious before and after shots of Gaza being put up on social media. It sure doesn't look like an open air prison to me. It looks like any Israeli city and many other Middle Eastern Cities. In fact, it looked nicer than many Middle Eastern countries. But the leadership and people of gaza chose hate and terror over love and growth. Speaking of the Great March of Return. Demanding that they get free access to cross a border with Israel and demanding the return of those who fled (or were chased out) during the recreation of Israel in 1948 or the war of 1967. What right do they have, they started a war and lost. They had open borders with Israel and chose terror over freedom. The people of Gaza are sheep being led by hate. It does need to end, but with love and without Hamas and without a new fake Palestinian Arab people.

From the Hamas Charter:

Hamas believes that no part of the land of Palestine shall be compromised or conceded, irrespective of the causes, the circumstances and the pressures and no matter how long the occupation lasts. Hamas rejects any alternative to the full and complete liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea. However, without compromising its rejection of the Zionist entity and without relinquishing any Palestinian rights, Hamas considers the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of the 4th of June 1967, with the return of the refugees and the displaced to their homes from which they were expelled, to be a formula of national consensus.

Hamas claims to agree to a "interim" Palestinian state along the 1967 borders but will still not recognize Israel. That is barely an improvement from all or nothing. Israel left Gaza and we saw what happened with Hamas was in charge. Let's also quote this from their charter which is an absolute false statement since the land was first Pagan, then Jewish, then Jewish and Christian and then only Islamic at the end (since Islam is the last of the religions formed): "3. Palestine is an Arab Islamic land. It is a blessed sacred land that has a special place in the heart of every Arab and every Muslim." Anyway, anything to take hate off the internet could be seen as a good thing but the likeihood of any hate being removed due to a hollywood purchase is laughable at best.

There was nothing in the article about Ellision Buying media companies to shape public opinion that I saw. I didn't click on the link you posted because it comes from a left wing propaganda magazine but after glancing at the article, Ellison said no such thing, it's all assumptions made by authors pandering to the left. In fact, some of the investors with Ellison were Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries hostile to Israel. Regardless, if anyone Jewish was trying to shape public opinion on Israel via purchasing media companies, Facebook, Instragram and Tiktok would look very different. In fact, they are making money off of the clicks and views of both sides, with the Arab narrative probably being the biggest income earner due to how many Arabs there are vs Jews. Even if it was true, If the hate was taken off of social media, it would be an improvement. As for what I wrote being detached from reality, you might want to read the Hamas Charter, the part about destroying Israel. If Mexico or Canada had attacked the U.S.A, the repercussions would have been way worse.

Sadly, it's about Israel again: https://www.972mag.com/ellison... I wish they could just keep it simple, have defined borders, withdraw to the 1967 borders, live and let live, and stop trying to be the regional hegemon. Most of the world, in including Palestinians begrudgingly, would accept the Israeli state if it wasn't inherently expansionist and if it would allow Palestinians full autonomy within the areas they were forced into(1967 or even 1948).

Why do you feel to make everything about Israel? Israel has nothing to do with this. But to refute your argument, the Arabs will not accept a State of Israel with any borders unless it is outside of the middle east. Israel isn't expansionist at all, they are protectionist. What would you do if all of your borders were surrounded by people who want to destroy you?

Sometimes you also need to be a subject matter expert because you can write good code that just doesn't do what is needed due to lack of knowledge or input. As people move away from stackoverflow, we'll likely have more people struggle with key concepts. AI can help to a degree, but it can't be trusted without review, at least not yet.

I have seen enough posts where the facebook gods do not deem clearly anti-semitic content to be against their policies and leave them up. The "Palestinians" and their allies goal is to perpetuate the lies that Israel and Jews are evil and Arab Palestinians are good. If the Native Americans started firing rockets into populated US cities and the US retaliated, they would not warn them before bombing the locations the bombs were shooting from (something the Israeli army does in fact do). When the US dropped a nuclear bomb, did they care about how many innocent people would be killed, I don't think so. Israel does try to minimize civilian harm but it is not an easy task when the terrorists hide amongst the civilians and shoot the rockets from hospitals, schools and civilian centers. Facebook is evil, everyone knows it's about the $$$ and they do not take down enough from either side. They completely deserve a negative review as do most newspapers and people who don't know history and claim to support the underdog thinking it's the poor Palestinians who are simply pawns in the Arab world to destroy Israel and the only Democracy in the middle east. Gaza and the West Bank were originally under TransJordan and Egypt where they were treated worse than under Israel. This whole thing is ridiculous with Facebook, whatsapp and instagram making it worse. Rant over.
