wow, they said americans were dumb but I never really believed it until now. You had no idea how your political system worked? did you really think money grew on trees and all those ads politicians run on CNN were paid with money plucked from the trees? It's called lobbying. You and your hundred thousand or maybe million of friends get together put some money in the bank and push politicians who agree with you. oh wait, corporations do that too! movie studios, oil companies, financial companies, religious groups, abortion groups, affirmitive action groups, enviromental groups, feminists groups and the list goes on. It's funny that you realized this only when microsoft was mentioned. Let me take this further. One might say it's a flawed system because it is run by money. Not really. you would be wise to push a politican who really believed in what you wanted. rather than try to buy one who didn't agree with you anyway.
