I change reddit accounts every year due to long-ago dislike of reddit's behaviour. So in the middle of 2025 I created a new account and after no posts and commenting less than 10 times I got shadow-banned (checked by going to reddit.com/appeal). Appealing did nothing so I created another account which was again quickly shadow-banned. Over the next SEVEN MONTHS I created around a dozen accounts, all of which were shadow-banned, one after just one comment. Finally I made an account that didn't get banned, which I used until mid-2026 when I created a new account that didn't go through that banning horror.
I suspect reddit introduced some sort of new automated filter that automatically banned suspicious accounts and, in typical reddit behaviour, took a long time time to recognize that there might be a problem. That appears to have changed so try creating a new account now. You could try appealing first, maybe that will work for you.
