I'd say Tux is already quite established. My mother usualy talks about "that linux" refering to LJ, my computers and the Penguin.

She actually managed to get my a Tux-doll when I graduated.

I'm a sorry fellow who didn't get a chance to play with computers until 1995. My first computer was a 386-16 w/ 4mb. Not much even then. I didn't get a having-fun-able computer until the summer of -98, late autumn -98 i tried RH 5.2, and so on.
