I have read some of the comments on this article from EV people, and they seem to be all narcissists. "my EV car charges fine at 2am every night" Plugin vehicles do not and will not scale. Your currently living in a 1% marketshare. wait till every car in your street charges at 2am in the morning and brings the power grid to its knees. Also the fact that in 2017 the US's Unit/Apartments only have 63% of them built with access to a garage/carport. so 37% of these people cant perform overnight charging. and thats ONLY for single car configurations. more then 1 adult with a car in the apartment? well that number is like 3% of second cars having access to electricity. Back in REALITY, we need a solution to the majority of car owners, not the minority. Hydrogen is that option. I mean sure they will still sell battery powered vehicles, but that will remain a small niche market for specific use cases and people.
