The new botnet for Linux is seen as proof that Linux is threatening the monopoly of Windows in more than one area.
Two performance issues today: for some reason the picking slips being generated from our ERP system just crawl out of the computer, and the time it takes to make backups of our database has increased by 50% in the last week.
I'm trying to develop a relatively simple program, using Progress V9.1D and ADM2 smart objects. The program maintains three tables, a list of warehouses, a list of requests, and a list of request-lines. All of these have a 1:N relation to the next item in the list.
The first book describes the development of the Segway (codenamed Ginger), "Code Name Ginger: The Story Behind Segway and Dean Kamen's Quest to invent a New World". A very interesting looking book, not in the least because it shows how for example Steve Jobs was involved in the Segway.
Maybe I'll get used to it.
The solution of this problem is trivial and is left as an exercise for the reader.
