Journal roman_mir's Journal: Project Hail Mary 2026 is the dumbest things I have watched in a while 1

The story is really really really really really stupid. Every minute there was another thing, dumber than the one before it. Sure, it is funny sometimes and it is a tragic story but all the elements of it taken separately are idiotic, dumb, moronic. Water based dots that contain more energy than nuclear bombs of their size would while not being so dense, as to weigh hundreds of tons under Earth's gravity. These dots eating our Sun and at the SAME TIME being detected around all stars (but one), regardless how far away each star is? :) This means that they have synchronized their appearance perfectly for our benefit across the entire galaxy (or Universe?) All stars being eaten up, so that would mean each one has a CO2 rich planet nearby? Sending a single spaceship to a far away star in the hopes that a SINGLE human would figure out what to do, why one star is not being destroyed and hoping that this information can become useful... sending that human there by force? What if he decided to do nothing because he was upset about having his life cut short? Having an alien that is so asymmetric in his physical appearance, just no... An alien that is unable to use simple tools to explain things (like Gosling's character using a tape measure - a simple tool), instead always showing these incredibly complex things, while expecting things to be obvious. An alien traveling to stars without understanding of radiation? :) An advance alien without eyes to be able to discern wavelength... An alien inside a small bubble of his preferred atmosphere without really USING that atmosphere for any purpose (he would have ran out of it very quickly if he was using it), so why did he need an atmosphere at all? If the alien is silicon based, maybe he reacts strongly with Oxygen, however he clearly does not need ammonia to 'breath', so his bubble suit is unnecessary and bulky, all he needs is to paint itself with something, which would give him much more protection and freedom. "Fishing" for 'life forms' of the planet only at the top of the atmosphere (5km or so chain from the edge of the atmosphere, somewhere around 100km height at least)? There wouldn't be any life there. In any case, somehow delivering the life form to another planet and expecting it to survive and to thrive... The spaceship that doesn't fall apart under all of the stress that was exerted upon it? What is it, a nuclear military submarine? etc.etc.etc., the number of idiotic ideas in this flick is astounding. There you go, you are welcome.
