My teenage daughter's school in the UK wants me to approve the storage of her full medical details in CareMonkey. CareMonkey say that this data is stored on AWS and their security page says that it is secured by every protocol ever claimed by AWS (apparenlty). As a sysadmin and developer who has used AWS extensively for non-secure information my alarm bells are sounding. Should I ignore them and say yes? Why would you refuse?

We have daily stand-ups and normally there is at least one person missing from the room. We relay via on-line chat but the sound quality is rubbish. The remote person sounds great via our speaker when they use a headset but they can't hear what is happening in the room. We need a wireless mic that copes with a large echoing room and will stop feedback. Can you recommend one? We're not an over-funded start-up so don't have an unlimited budget...

The Beeb have a piece about Loughborough University's hydrogen motorcycle and one of the UK's first hydrogen fuel pumps (presumably all developed by their excellent "Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering department http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/tt/index.html). Offering 50mph, the ENV will have a range of 100 miles on a 3 minute refill of hydrogen. By-products are warm air and "drinkable" water. It will be interesting to compare these hydrogen powered vehicles with the hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles as pioneered by such as the Morgan prototype "Lifecar" ( http://www.riversimple.com/index.php/lifecar-with-morgan ) in the near future.
