Those of us that make better decisions than the state, (not difficult to do) think that local control over things, like school standards, beat state control every time. One size fits all is a terrible way to run things. Yet another reason to flea the onerous, nanny state that California has become.

I wonder:
If most people loose their income due to being replaced by machines, who's going to buy the deluge of cheap, robot made stuff? You can't sell very many widgets if nobody has the money to buy them!

So it seems to me, as a group, companies who use automation to replace their workers, are eventually going to find it hard to sell anything, regardless of how much they save on labor.
