Models are not proof and despite what the article says, previous models have not been very accurate.
Because the problem does NOT exist.
The only proof out there show that we are safer and live longer - despite all the "doom and gloom" that the climate-changers have been pushing for decades (and have been wrong in EVERY prediction).
When you are you sheep going to wake up to the fact that the whole "climate change" nonsense is nothing more than a power grab?
In my previous job, I had to deal with new developers who didn't understand that computer resources were not unlimited.
They often caused problems by, say, sending a 100 GB file into a process that was designed to handle a 1 GB file. Then wondered why everything bogged down.
I grew up with computers that had 8-32K, so even though I deal with computers with literally 1000+ times more resources, I still remember that resources are not unlimited and design my software accordingly (and my software tends to not cause problems either).
current=100000000000000
while current > 1:
print(current)
if (current % 2) == 0:
current = int(current / 2)
else:
current = int(current*3+1)
print(current)
Flint spent decades on failed social programs instead of plans to upgrade their infrastructure. Then they pissed off their biggest source of income: GM. GM left, taking many of their workers with them - along with their tax money.
You are correct that everyone knows this is coming, but no politician in power wants to spend the money on it. Because it won't be done during his term, so he can't take credit for it.
The thing is that Apple is speaking out of both sides of the mouth.
On one side, you have the infamous 1984 commercial - implying that they are against Big Brother.
Then on the other side, they comply with the Big Brother rules - effectively allying themselves with Big Brother.
From a business point of view, what they are doing in China makes sense: China is a big market and Apple wants a piece of it.
There's an old saying: Your words start to lose value when your actions don't match.
It seems that Stack Exchange has a terminal infestation of SJWs. These people can only destroy what others have built. Stack Exchange... It was nice knowing you.
The only good thing that may come out of this is fewer incompetent "developers" programming by copy/pasting from Stack Exchange.
As a software professional of 30+ years, I've seen tech come and go and I've gotten pretty good at being able to see what tech will be a flash-in-the-pan and what tech has staying power.
I've also learned that what looks good today may not make it in the future, no matter how good it is.
Exploring a new tech is always a good thing. But I'd never bet my company on any new tech until it's proved itself.
