Journal Journal: Recent Stuffs.

So, I wrote down all the stuff I have to do.
  • Finish colorforth editor
  • Work on F2
  • Back up all my important stuff onto portable media
  • IsForth assembler
  • Tesla turbine that competes with kc5tja's!
  • ....with more to come. I have way too much stuff to do, and all I do about it is play counterstrike, IRC, surf the web, or whatever.

I have 3 "jobs" now. One, delivering pizza, one making website, and one quoting windows and doors. Horrible.

New semester, yay. Hope grades will be much better. Did all homework so far, then again I just finished the second day. Seems to be working well. I hope my parents don't take away my internet access once last semester's report comes, because, well, it's not as good as it should be (no Fs at least).

Journal Journal: Progess on Tesla Turbine model RK-1

Just bought some more glue so that I could continue on the turbine. So far, I have all 4 disks cut out, with the holes in them, one of them completely coated with aluminum, and one of them half coated. I don't know if 4 of those will be enough, but I will try. I might have to build a little distributor piece out of straw so that I can feed air to all the disks. Unfortunately, I have to work more today, so I won't get too much done (well, I probably will once I come back home at around midnight).

Journal Journal: Blah. 1

Grades in a recession, and I have no incentive to do anything about it. I have a ssevere case of premature senioritis. The Sparc isn't working, I don't have enough money to get that damn ethernet bridge, and life sucks. Time to just IRC and play Halo all day. Oh well. Had some more cool CPU ideas. The following numbers are all just examples: CPU has 8 stations. Each station receives one instruction (which can take any number of cycles it desires!). REgister writes cause a block, all that not-so-good stuffs. The 2 instructions that are done and have the highest priority will be released in each cycle, and filled with a new one. Also, it can load up to 4 instructions at a time. I can hear you now saying "WAAAIT, WTF!? Takes more than it can produce?" Indeed. In the case of a stall (which can happen for any number of reasons, cache miss, read-after-write, jump delay, whatever) it has the ability to spit out 4 instructions per cycle :). Worst case would be that we have one instruction which all the others depend upon, and its taking awhile. lets say it stalls for 8 cycles. Assuming the following instructions don't do any stalling, it'll be caught up by cycle 3 after its done. Combine this with a soft-timeable clock speed and fans, possibly on a MIPS CPU, you got yourself one hell of a processor :)

Journal Journal: Better. Better. Better.

Is this a better blog? :) Yes, finally something non-braindead that doesn't go down all the time. :)
