Ok, let's get serious... (Score 1)

Although it is little more than regurgigation of what has been posted here already, remember that those tied to conventional media have no love for the "New Alternative" media (sorry, I know most of us have been here for a while.. but ya know). Anyway, if MTV had wanted to accuratly portray hacking / phreaking / social engenering (sp) they would have put it on their web page. They can't portray hackers in a positive light on the TV, or else they might allay some peoples suspicions about the internet, and loose viewers ! ! and we all know just what a problem that could be.
