This "map" is not different from a table (Score 1)

So it provides total of cases per country, in USA it also provides totals per state. Unless it provides actual __location__ of cases, or clusters of cases within let's say 10 miles - then this "map" is no different from textual and completely non-graphical tables available elsewhere, such as on Wikipedia.
