firewire and the processor speed bump are not the only improvements to those machines
a) rage 128 graphics, dual display output capabilities via VGA and S-Video
b) so much improved cooling system
c) UMA-1 chipset with all those killer features like save and sleep, which eliminates the need of shutting down the machine at all.
also new power management features extend battery life over lombard's
d) Airport netorking option
e) independant bandwith usb ports @ 12 mb/s each
f) Standard DVD
g) bigger Hard drives and more RAM on the 500 mhz model
h) os 9 which is so much more powerful/secure/stable/easy to use than winblows
the new power book may not be ground breaking but it is still the best portable in earth
