I agree, it should be possible to play your own music while playing any game. Oh, and how about some basic media management functionality like play-lists, genre grouping, and ratings. The interface that is there is great if you have 10 movies and 30 songs, but I have over 1000 songs and nearly 40 movies on my PS3 already, with no means of grouping them to my liking...
