While it may not apply to everyone, I go away camping quite a bit where there is no mobile reception, and I quite enjoy that fact. It's great to get away from a screen sometimes.

Nothing better than sitting round a fire reading up on your interests...

Sure you can say "bring your tablet with the magazines loaded", but that doesn't really get you away from a screen now does it?

I actually found the opposite with iGoogle, so guess its a matter of preference... I've been using a Netvibes page since the announcement that they were removing iGoogle, and while it "looks" nicer, I've found all the widgets lag (ie I get twitter "search" updates hours later). Although, like everything, the only people you really hear from when something closes down are the ones that are using it ... so this makes it appear like a lot.

Perfect! While I always hate to see ads on things, is it REALLY that hard to scroll past an ad here and there? I mean nobody is forcing you to click on it... What I hate are the ad banners on phones that are designed for you to accidentally click on them... Like they put them right next to the controls, or a menu...

Sure, lots of dead trees, but you can't spend 100% in front of a screen.

This. I find I am increasingly spending more and more time in front of a PC/phone... I don't even 'find the time' to read a book any more because I seem to spend a greater amount of time on mindless websites (e.g. 9GAG / Facebook)... Need to find a way to break free!! :D

Agree the Otter Box won't save a direct screen hit, but mine saved my iPhone after a rather hard throw into the wall after a particularly irritating call from work one day when I was on holidays... The Otter Box was destroyed... The phone was fine. Can't comment on how well they are made for the HTC but appear pretty darn solid for the iPhone. Granted the best way to save your phone is probably to keep your temper :-)

The only issue I have with the thickness of the phone is the fact that it is made thicker by the "Otter Box" (or similar) case that is almost mandatory for someone like me that drops their phone occasionally....Although I do agree that it does not make /that/ big a difference that it would sway me either way....

BCC doesnt show other recipients, so if your boss scenario actually happened, either you don't know how to use BCC yourself, or he added everyone in by hand.

He was the only one BCC'd by the example above, meaning that he can still see all the other recipients that weren't. Thus, a reply-all from him shows everyone else that he was BCC'd....
