So you're saying the moon missions should have been called the "sub orbital test flight project" until they actually reached the moon? It's marketing, plain and simple. There's tons of products and services that use questionable labeling. Think of all the "anti-aging" products. Do they really make you younger? Tesla clearly calls it a "beta" product, and you get lot of pop-up warnings that the product is not complete.

Yes it is. If you submit a tape for a record, and did not use authentic hardware, you cheated. That's the point of twin galaxies, they lay out all the requirements for submitting a tape. Original arcade hardware, certain board settings, documentation (video tape or live performance), etc.

Just remove Kathleen Kennedy, who tried and clearly failed, and get someone in along the lines of Kevin Feige. Someone with a cohesive vision, and who's willing to use source material that already exists, knowing it will please existing fans. Hopefully that new president of Lucasfilm will know enough to hire directors and writers what will go along with their vision. And most importantly, first make high quality movies and TV, based on existing source materiel, or original source material that fits into the existing universe. Then after that, sit back and watch the money roll in.

But if corps get so big, that they start manipulating the system, and stifling useful innovation that the public wants, how would you handle that? Because if the government hadn't intervened throughout the years, the first corp to amass a large amount of capital would essentially be the new King of the US. Free markets are great until someone ends up on top, and changes the rules, and then free markets are a big pile of crap. There has to be some balance.

This is the last google "Project" I'm going to buy into. I had their original TV, and boy that was craptastic for the few years it existed. I should have known they were going to halfass their VR. Screw their new gaming platform, I bet it dies in 3 - 5 years. Not sure why they keep launching experiments, when they just shutter them after a couple years.

The major difference of a Kinder Surprise, is that there is no gaming or other experience connected to them. I'm still not a fan, but buying Kinder Surprises doesn't give you any type of advantage in a corresponding game. This is not the case with Pokemon cards, so at the very least those should have warning labels and odds listed. Loot boxes are potentially worse on many levels because they're usually purchased with virtual currency which are designed to distance consumers from real world costs, and lock their funds on a platform. Also depending on the design of the game system, they can give whales an unfair advantage making a game pay to win. Finally, and perhaps most important, is the experience of opening the loot box, which obviously use all of the psychological tricks to get your attention and trigger all those neurological responses that addicts are vulnerable to. The flashing lights, bright colors, vibrant animations, exciting sounds all add up to trigger that response in the brain just the way a slot machine does. They may not be able to classify them as gambling, but they are manipulative, should be accessible only by adults, and should be regulated.

It's a nice thought, but expecting government to help us is an unlikely scenario. They're mostly rich assholes serving richer assholes, who all want to be the richest asshole. The only solution is for all of us to find a way to buy an EV. Even if it's more than you wanted to spend. Even if it means buying a used car over a new one. When demand spike for EVs has to be so extreme that the rich assholes won't be able to ignore them. That's all we've got.
