I call this engineering syndrome. I've met a lot of engineers that are good at what they do and automatically assume they understand how everything else works. Most of the people on this board are not medical researchers and are not qualified to make those kinds of decisions. We get "facts" from media, that they want us to see. Well the whole vaccine idea, is not black and white. Not all are bad and not all are good. However, there is evidence that some vaccines are bad for some people. But unfortunately, it's a multi billion dollars industry and a lot of times money takes priority. My wife is a doctor and has encountered numerous research studies that shows opposite of what the media likes to spin. I know nothing of homeopathy, nor NHMRC nor how this study was conducted and who sponsored it. I do know that pharmaceuticals is a big business and there is a lot of competition. Do the big pharmaceutical companies see homeopathy as competition? Does the traditional medical industry see naturopathic physicians as competition? Probably yes to both of them. But I'm sure it's not just black or white. Just like the evidence based medication that most of the doctors prescribe today, nothing is just black or white. I was never aware that such a thing as numbers needed to treat (NNT) exists. Take statin for example, which a lot of people take, which is evidence based. My point is, when ever there is a lot of money involved, nothing is just black or white.
