I've been using debian now for some time now. It seems more solid than redhat. Even though I'm using the testing version, i've had few problems.

I don't know how, but when I rebooted my redhat machine last night I noticed that the drivers for both optical drives were gone (ie, /dev/cdrom and /dev/cdrom1). And as if that wasn't disturbing enough, their entries in /etc/fstab were missing as well. It's as though someone deleted the files, then deleted their fstab entries to make it look like they were never there. But Hello, I burned several data CD's not but yesterday.
