Comment EU Finally Gets it right! (Score 5, Informative) 259
Yup, thats right folks. Unlike the media backed US Government, the buerocrats in Brussels may finally have got something right.
Here in the EU, a new copyright infringement document is being drawn-up --> due to the pressure from RIAA and DMCA etc etc.
However, rather than obeying their corporate masters the European Commissions copyright directive proposes to criminalise ONLY COMMERCIAL copyright infringement.
And I quote The Oberserver 9th Feb 2002,
"leaving the home music downloader untouched".
Quite rightly I say. If you are making money from other peoples ideas, then its wrong. If you are just enjoying someone elses art, they why the hell should it be a crime
Casual file sharing is not on par with Burglary!!!
