It would be interesting to do a similar study on subjects who were thrust into an "adult" world much earlier than age 18 - many teenagers (myself included long ago)and indeed pre-teenagers have to enter the workforce to either support their families or at the very least, begin to have some savings or spending money.
I had to develop rapport with co-workers and supervisors much older than me at age 13, and I'm sure it had an impact on what is now my view of "maturity" and how I interact with other human beings. Great work, BTW!
