rasteroid writes: Researchers in the Center for Excellence in Rural Safety (CERS) at the University of Minnesota have released an interactive map of every traffic-induced fatality that was reported in the USA in 2006. Their data is from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) made available by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Details include the driver's age, whether alcohol or speeding was involved, and if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
