Man, you geeks are always making this difficult. Just solve it the easy way: Don't give all the users all the features they want, that would confuse them(as you said). Just give all the users all the features that I want. Much less confusing, and I'm happy!

We had a similar use case at my company, although the amount of actual video was very low. One thing you should consider is permissions. If you need permissions at all then a wiki is not for you, wiki's are not designed with fine grained viewing/editing permissions.
We've had a great success with an internal Drupal CMS instead. Web developer to put the company style on it and put the first few articles in, quick training session on Drupal for managers to cascade down to their departments.

I'm sure conditions on those ships were horrific, however first thing I notice on that diagram is how everyone is lying down with enough space that their knees do not need to be bent. Second thing I notice is the bunk-bed type arrangement allowing better use of the limited space.

Perhaps airlines should take hints from overnight sleeper trains and turn most of the cabin into racks and racks of bunk beds? I'd be quite happy lying down if I had a TV\entertainment system in the bottom of the bunk above?

As a customer, I'm annoyed that a) A major high street bank doesn't have enough failsafes/testing to prevent this and b) That there is so little communication as to the cause and expected time to fix the problem.
Thankfully I don't live week to week off my wage like some people do, but if I did I'd be having major problems as evidenced by some of the BBC stories.
