Admin Productivity (Score 1)

We have a VP that is somewhat of a bean-counter. I swear, he gets most of his ideas from Management 101 for Dummies and not from real experience dealing with technology professionals. My belief is that if the systems continue to run with little or no interruption to business then by all means the admins have been productive. It is better to be an enabler thus allowing your staff to discover techniques and/or technologies that will improve the environment rather than stifle those admins to where their knowledge disintegrates or where they would rather find another job.
