I have been trying to use Linux for desktop since 1994. Always came back to Windows after some disappointment. This time I am really annoyed by the Windows 12 HW requirements and also the aggressive cloud and AI push, so I got a MacBook. But it's really hard to get used to that different keyboard. Struggling with it since a year now. Sometimes I think Windows 11 with disabling all the cloud and AI presets would have been the best option.

Current LLM's are just based on statistics how often a word follows another, so there is no concept or culture behind it. I think the main motivation is to have state of the art tech without sensitive data flowing to USA, (remember the wiretapping of Merkel).
