I totally agree. However, a lot of people cite King's Quest and Space Quest as the funniest and just plain best of them, and I think the best of the old sierra games is often overlooked: the original Quest for Glory, or Hero's Quest as it was known before the legal troubles arose over the name. It had action, RPG elements, but most of all, it had quite possibly the MOST ways to die in a single game. My personal favorite being:

"As you fall down the chasm, you see a sign saying 'Beware of Porcupine.' That's funny, you didn't see a...

You do, however, see a group of brigands aiming their arrows at you, and you have a funny feeling you know who the porcupine is going to be."
