I can't see many people interested in gaming building one of these for themselves... There's a company called VisBox http://www.visbox.com that will sell you a 6' x 8' screen with stereo graphics and camera based optical tracking... One of the guys building these was the guy who wrote CAVEQuake... so now you can play quake with immersive graphics... light glasses... and headtracking with no wires... It's really awesome!!! not to mention the whole thing is built outta aluminum so it has that cool industrial look to it... great for my living room... now if I can just convince my wife to let me buy one :)
