Opendns is both free and patched.
So lesson learned - if you cannot confirm your forwarder is patched, use a known patched server as your forwarder.

Wow, I didn't expect to make the front page with my submission of online gaming for couples, but I have used some of the feedback to narrow my selection to an acceptable game down to a "short list".
