The newest generation Skylake and Kaby Lake u-series processors default to a 15w TDP and can be configured as a 7.5w TDP-Down. This gets you a full powered Core-i processor, not a weakened Atom chip. Is this device still a hampered weakened Atom-type chip or have they added some IoT centric features to a Core-i?

I had troubles pairing my old Series 3 HD Tivo, requiring a visit from a Comcast technician. I currently have a Series 4 Premiere and have been able to perform a self-install without difficulty.

There is a documentary on Costco that delves into this phenomenon. Choice paralysis is a thing, and that is why there are few choices amongst product categories available at Costco.
Startup's Submerged Servers Could Cut Cooling Costs 147

An Austin startup says its liquid cooling enclosure can cool high-density server installations for a fraction of the cost of air cooling in traditional data centers. Submersion cooling using mineral oil isn't new, dating back to the use of Fluorinert in the Cray 2. The new startup, Green Revolution Cooling, says its first installation will be at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (also home to the Ranger supercomputer). The company launched at SC09 along with a competing liquid cooling play, the Iceotope cooling bags."

I wonder how this will fare for ATI. While both ATI and Nvidia sometimes have issues with drivers, ATI seems to have them constantly. There is also an issue of their drivers never quite fully uninstalling when you choose to uninstall them. For example, they leave a storm of entries under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Video, along with unremoved *.pnf files in %systemroot%\inf. If you do not clean those out between driver updates, you will have problems.
ATI was lauded in the past for (finally) evolving to a monolithic driver set (catalysts) back in the day, however they still have work to do.
Overall I think this is a fantastic idea. This is excellent motivation for driver manufacturers as the system is no longer binary.
