Just because Iâ(TM)m not a filmmaker, it doesnâ(TM)t reduce my love and appreciation for film in general. Just because someone writes a new book doesnâ(TM)t mean we canâ(TM)t just âoedeleteâ some old books. It seems that you fail to recognize the cultural impact and significance of the arts. I am by no means calling all films significant or even art, Iâ(TM)m just saying imagine a world (currently, or throughout history) without art.

This is not a lack-of-entertainment-alternatives (other movies to watch, other books to read etc). It is a quality over quantity issue. Anyone would argue that there fewer truly great films than there are current available total films available right? Same for books. Not to mention when govs get involved in pulling titles from distribution itâ(TM)s a censorship issue, because written/filmed works do not fit the current desired societal norms.

This dragnet approach will likely scoop up uninvolved locals that live off grid lifestyles. Not everyone who lives off grid does so out of some fringe based cringe worthy level of distrust in the government or other unfounded ideology. Some of us just enjoy the peace and serenity. I work in towns and traveling on the road, where interactions with people and exposure to the latest salacious so-called news is inevitable, which is why when I go home, I want none of that.
