I would still not see the point of Automatix, as Feisty does handle most of the work that Automatix used to do, but they do deserve some credit. Automatix2, the modern version, doesn't use all of the dangerous --force flags and random edits to sources.list that the original did, but nobody ever noticed that they fixed it. So I would say Automatix is just unnecessary, but not dangerous any longer.
