The Copy/paste whenever policy reminds me of a somewhat recent encounter I had helping another developer debug something.
me: "What is this piece of code supposed to be doing?"
him: "Hmmm...I am not sure. I copied and pasted it from somewhere."
He meant from somewhere else in our code base, but didn't know where, or apparently why.
