At some point, Linus speaks in strong words about the FSF, but then he almost immediately softens what he said. If you listen to the full session, you get a good sense of the atmosphere and Linus' demeanor. Linus listens, responds to criticism, and explains where he is coming from. For people on the mailing list to get so worked up about a "lack of respect", etc. is really very different from what I would get out of this event.
