Of course it's always fun when you have to ask someone if they have their driver cd. Because by the time those drivers are hard to find on the internet, NO they don't ever have the cd anymore.

Unplugging it didn't work, removing it from the room would work though.

This is all utterly ridiculous anyway. I've seen too many people unwilling to do LEGAL forms of work, when even a day labor job or a McDonald's job would bring in more money than they have now. Simply put, they would rather be broke than put in a days work.
