Anyone who's familiar with Linus Torvalds at all shouldn't be the least bit surprised by his response. Actually, I found his tone rather mild compared some other stuff he's said in the past.

I don't think someone who is stupid or slow of mind would be capable of comprehending a sci-fi story by william gibson. That study is what's stupid.

So now their saying private groups can promote harmful things to people and that's ok?

What I liked and disliked depends a lot on which version we're talking about. At one point, it was so slow scrolling through a table of songs, I wrote my own version in java that was 10x faster. (even has playlist sharing) If java is faster than your app, you wrote it wrong! Hate the bloat and all the integrated garbage. Hate they locked down the daap sharing to only work with other itunes clients. I like the automatic library management though. The early version radio was nicer.

Aside from the fact most people download their games now, I've wondered for years why software still comes on Disc. If you need to sell a physical copy, just use an 8GB usb stick, they're cheap enough even if you had to charge an extra dollar onto that $60 title.

Don't forget, Matrix 4 is coming...
