I'm very short sighted but as I've got older I find I need both close work and distance glasses. I tried progressives but they didn't work for me so I've moved to a combination of distance glasses for driving, contact lenses for sport, and reading glasses for screen work and reading. This was after a long conversation with my optometrist who had the same kind of issues. My learning from this is to find an optometrist who understands.
