The novelty has worn off, around here I rarely see the telltale white tails any longer. When they first came out, everyone had them. Now they have discovered the charge no longer holds, they don't fit well in many people's ears, and the sound is mediocre at best. Perfect for hand-me-downs where playgound-bound kids will likely lose one of them anyway. Better than ending up unused in a kitchen drawer.

Not even close. You are under no obligation to have every single show ever made at your fingertips 24/7. Select a service, such as Netflix or Prime, watch whatever you want for a few months, then cancel it and move to a different service. Watch the crap out of that, and then move on. You can dramatically lower your entertainment budget with a bit of organization. There are no sign-up / disconnect chargers, it is all month-to-month.

Why call bullshit? Macs generally require less user intervention to run, and don't have automatic updates to screw things up at inopportune times. Program installation and removal is generally much simpler.

The hardware is also of much better quality than most "enterprise" computer builds, so it would last a lot longer and not have glitches...

The only people who doubt this story are those that have never used both Windows and Mac computers extensively.

The one fact which throws off the original figure is that the technical staff at IBM prefer Macs, whereas the sales/marketing team generally order what they know and have at home; Windows. The first group comprises the software engineers, support professionals, and escalation engineers. They are all far more technically savvy than your average sales person, and rarely call the help desk as a result. The sales / marketing non-technical employees are far more likely to need a help desk, hence call much more often.

Maybe if Apple didn't sell their cables for such obscene prices, there would be less market demand for Chinese knockoffs. If I can buy 10 cables on eBay at $0.50 each, I don't care if 5 go out in less than a month. Also, I've NEVER seen or heard first hand if one of the knock offs catching fire.

That is the one thing Apple does very poorly. It's 35 dollars for a lightning cable from the Apple store, and they last at most 6-9 months. Then the ends near the connectors start to fray until wires are exposed. Shortly thereafter, they no longer charge your phone. There are 6 people in my family, 3 have iPhones, 3 have Android. I have never once had to replace a microUSB cable, but I have gone through at least 10 lightning cables in the last 5 years. 5 of them came with the device (either iphone or ipod), 5 others were purchased from the Apple Store. All eventually failed. It's the one thing from Apple which drives me crazy.
