  • Who is the administration planning on shitcanning, since they were obviously fed bad intelligence that led us into a costly war, right? Or is there no one to shitcan, and they have in fact been lying to the American public to drum up support for a costly and pointless war? I don't care what they say; Powell quit because he was forced to lie like a dog to draw us into war; I wish he had stood up and said no, back when it would have made a world of difference.
  • This is not the first time the administration, and I am pretty sure GWB himself, has been explicit about this.

    I am not sure, but I would guess that they were careful to never directly say Saddam/Iraq were in any way responsible for 911.

    However, they implied repeatedly that they were. More common was they created associations in people's minds by just mentioning Iraq and Saddam in the same breath as 911, bin Laden, and Al Qaeda.

    And it worked. I forget the statistic but a great number of peopel still believe
