I was at Chicago,IL,US O'Hare. I was offered an EV. I turned it down. I've never driven an EV. I was in town for two days. I don't know where to charge it. I was on a tight schedule. I don't want to figure out how to "return it full".
15 years ago, I sent an email to the USA Today editor. I used wget to pull an article from their website. I ran it through tidy to clean it up. It was 25% the original size. The rest was unnecessary spaces in the html. I assumed it was either sloppy coding, or a deal with the phone companies to create data overages.
Sounds like a government grant, and a waste of energy tearing up a road. They should build a bumper car system. Ground plate on the road. Power on a grid (or cable) over the road. Vehicles can extend rods to pickup power. Also, I wouldn't want to be a rescue worker trying to free someone from a car that's continually being energized.
