Midori is reported to be an offshoot Microsoft Research's Singularity OS, an all-managed code microkernel OS which leverages a technology called software isolated processes (SIPs) to overcome the traditional inter-thread communications issues of microkernel OSes."

parvenu74 writes: Arstechnica is running an article pointing out that while some pockets of the entertainment industry are experimenting with DRM-free distrobution, Apple Inc, which announced that they have now sold over 2,000,000,000 songs on iTunes, are now the strongest pro-DRM force in digial media.
